According to various data, the number of people who inject drugs exceeds 300 000 persons. Addiction to drugs is a problem turning into a tragedy both for the affected individuals and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individual civil society initiatives do not solve all the problems. The statistics of people who inject drugs demonstrate the need for an effective comprehensive approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An online discussion \u201cA drug trap: How to help the families of drug users\u201d was held on December 22. The participating experts were Maksym Butkevych, expert of the REAct system in Ukraine; Tetiana Koshova, President, Charitable Fund \u201cHope and Trust\u201d, the NationalHotline on drug addiction and OST operator; Volodymyr Kurach, Head, Center of addiction treatment \u201cTACTICS\u201d, civil society activist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity was held in relation to the screening of the movie \u201cThe Little Samdi\u201d in the DOCUSPACE online cinema on the agenda of the 18th<\/sup> Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
