She had a disability and was at high risk of developing tuberculosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The elderly woman said that she had sought help from the Department of Health in her region for obtaining further free access to the expensive drug (Humira) for her granddaughter, who has TB, but her request was denied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The REActor helped prepare and submit an application to the local councilman seeking further action from the city\u2019s executive bodies. The client soon received a response from the city council&#8217;s health department stating that her granddaughter was placed on the list of recipients of free anti- tuberculosis drugs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The client approached the REAct project about her granddaughter\u2019s rights being violated.
