In the intensive care unit, the man was tested with a rapid HIV test, which turned out to be positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andrew was scheduled to undergo emergency surgery, but after receiving the test results, the surgeon began to delay the process and recommended that the operation be delayed until a full HIV test was performed and ART therapy was prescribed to reduce the viral load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The client turned to the documentator of the REAct project and asked for help. The REActor met with the surgeon to clarify the situation. The woman explained that the doctor&#8217;s actions violate the client&#8217;s rights to medical care, which is punishable by law. After that, the documentator assisted in getting a consultation for the surgeon with the infectious disease doctor of the trust office.
